LGA socket insertion makes me nervous.

I must have faith that the pins are aligned. Fingers crossed!

    Yep, I saw the two notches and made sure that they lined up. The bit that makes me nervous is whether this actually makes sure the pins are lined up properly - which is a matter of faith.
